Promo Items, Awards
and Garments

In April 2011, Inkit collaborated with Steve’s SCBA on the development of a logo for this new business. As promotion efforts increased we also produced embroidered t-shirts, vehicle decals and screen printed garments to promote his company. In April 2012, with a name change to North Fire Systems, we once again helped with the transition, which included a revised logo, embroidery, printed materials and decals.

Inkit regularly screen prints and embroiders a whole array of garments and other fabric items – from school wear for Weledeh Catholic School to drama production shirts for Sir John Franklin; from gym apparel for Just Fitness to gardening shirts for Arctic Farmer; from bandanas for the Mackenzie Diocese to napkins for the Smoke House Café; from jackets for the Dehcho Divisional Education Council to backpacks for GNWT Department of Municipal and Community Affairs… and that’s just to name a few.

In February 2012, Inkit assisted the Hamlet of Kugluktuk in their preparation for the annual territorial hockey tournament, the 2012 Kitikmeot Cup – providing them with screen printed hoodies and embroidered baseball hats. Following this successful project, in March 2012, we worked with the Hamlet for their annual spring festival, the 2012 Nattiq Frolics – providing them with hoodies and toques.

For a number of years, Inkit has been providing the Mine Training Society with their yearly promotional items. This involves not just order taking, but assisting them with recommendations and determining what, out of the millions of options out there, meets their needs and budget the best. Their 2013 order included calculators, notebooks, tote bags, duffel bags, safety kits, backpacks, USBs, t-shirts and hoodies.

Each year, the Akaitcho Territory Government makes an investment in promotional items and Inkit helps them meet their needs. Their 2013 order included water bottles, note pads, journals, pens and picnic sets. We have also work with them on the design and production of calendars and dictionaries.

Over the years, Inkit has provided a vast array of services to ECE, including the production of promotional items. The 2013 order for Apprenticeship included touch-screen gloves, headlamps, carpenter pencil sharpeners, safety ear plugs, lens cleaning cloths, safety duck stress balls and mugs. The order for Careers and Employment included calculators, puzzle games, backpacks, highlighter pens, key chains, folders and work gloves.

Each year, GNWT Education, Culture and Employment presents Hall of Fame Awards to recipients who have made an outstanding contribution to education in the NWT. And, each year, Inkit works with ECE to produce these awards.

The Legislative Assembly receives a large number of visitors throughout the year, offering tours of their beautiful building and information on consensus government. Inkit regularly produces a number of different lapel pins, an Official Symbols brochure, a Mace brochure and a “Welcome to the Legislative Assembly” children’s activity book for them to offer to visitors as mementos.
